This is part of the little news where Kimi denies this years rules would favour him more than the others. He also says in the end he has driven a bit less than Alonso but he doesnt think it will affect to his performance too much. The part that worries me is that he says there are certain things in drivability they are able to change after a few races this year. He hints "in the end drivers have different driving style, you can achive some with set up but not all and changes he has demanded are coming after a few races.

There has been a lot of talk about the driveability of the Ferrari, from all of the videos it seems like car has excessive torque and oversteer. Which is atleast something that Kimi can deal with. However, in the Ferrari predations videos Kimi says at one point that he doesn't know which way the car will go. That was in Jerez, perhaps things have improved a bit, but an unpredictable car is much troubling. A driver needs to have confidence that a car will perform in a certain way, when he gives it certain inputs. It would be especially challenging in the rain, and there are rain perditions for Sunday.
The rumours is that Ferrari's rear tyres are degrading too fast, because of the oversteer and the torque. On the otherhand Rosberg said at one point that if they have to conserve so much fuel, and the engine of course, the tyres could take +10 laps to heat up, or they may never heat up properly during a stint. During the testing, Mclaren did some race simulations with absolutely terrible degradation. My guess is it come down to the characteristics of the car.
I dont really except that much information form Australia, it has always been a strange race. I remember some Australian GP's where only 6 cars finished the race. I think reliability will be very important in this race. Not just reliability over the race, but over the whole weekend and getting enough running over the whole weekend. I just hope Kimi can get some decent mileage.
Alonso 0.7s quicker than Kimi during the "softs" run in FP2. Kimi had traffic on both runs. Alonso was in clean air. Let's hope this is the reason for the difference..
