ZitatThe return of the Spanish Samurai
Our much loved Spanish Samurai has returned of holidays and is now talking of braveness and higher goals.
The Warrior that uses the sword when is insulted can not be considered brave, brave man does not flinch, because he has higher goals..
— Fernando Alonso (@alo_oficial) August 19, 2013
So what is Alonso saying? Is he admitting that he insulted LdM and the latter used the ‘sword’ (aka brought Kimi in). But Alonso gives us comfort, “[the] brave man does not flinch, because he has higher goals“.
Please share those goals brave warrior, we are intrigued.
Update: (17:10)
Today, Leo Turrini, an Italian blogger, who is considered the unofficial voice of Ferrari, (and good friend of Domenicali and Di Montezemolo and a big Kimi fan) had lunch with Stefano Domenicali, which they often do. Below is an extract from their lunch today as told by Turrini.
‘The Dom, Kimi and the safety of a great second hand‘
Turrini: “I like a great second hand, you like a great second hand, he likes a great second hand, where’s the problem?“
Domenicali: “There is no problem.” smiling while saying this
Turrini: “Except for the fact that I can stop this blog, after having experienced the greatest satisfaction of my life (the return of Kimi).”
Domenicali: “You don’t stop anything! This is not the beginning of the end, but the end of certain principles and new beginning.”
Turrini: “Right, how do you think Fernando will react to this news?“
Domenicali: “I have no idea…” (doing his best Kimi impersonation from the Renault commercial)
So dear members of the TJ13 jury, your thoughts on this?
I think people are misunderstanding Alonso's samurai tweets, it has been 3 weeks since the LDM incident, he could have tweeted about it before now.
Turrini is fun to read but I dont think you could take him to seriously. But I do find it strange that thejudge13.com and http://www.suomif1.com/ keeps on repeating and defending these Ferrari rumours so vehemently. Both are quite small sites, they would look really stupid if this Kimi/ Ferarri rumour doesn't work out.
Zitat von YiNingI told you he is the biggest troll in the world.... now we are not even sure if we are going to find out at Monza ....
every year the same..
Yep, the problem is Kimi so popular as soon as his name is mentioned with any team the rumours flair up. Kimi is so straight forward but there is always drama surrounding him for some strange reason.
agreed about Turini - but he likes Kimi too much to listen to him as to real news (my personal opinion of course)
Samurai thing - why people think about 'bringing Kimi' as use of sword? how about that phone call on birthday? It can be considered as use of sword as well.
Or he might be just saying - I am wise and not going to fight with the team even if they use harsh words.
Many fans are way in 'overblown' mode (like proper fans used in the heat )

Everything seems to be in overreaction mode, I think these long breaks make people a little crazy. " title="run" />
About Kimi giving us all a lesson if he goes back to Ferrari, I hadn't given it a thought, but you are right. Imagine trying to make peaces with all the Ferrari and Alonso's fans...
Now let's all think about this theory of a poster in the autosport Forum, that _TaniaS_ kindly shared:
ZitatThe possible scenario after the Sky Sports report and Red Bull saying they'll make no announcement in Spa:
Steve Robertson didn't like what Red Bull was offering, so he went to Ferrari. He probably got a deal, it's on the table, and it just needs to be signed. So he can now declare publicly that talks with Red Bull are over and that they have other options. Red Bull react to Robertson's story: they call him and schedule a final meeting to make a final offer and they make a public statement that the second driver seat will not be announced this weekend.
Now it's all about what Raikkonen chooses. Robertson has the Ferrari deal in his hands, and if he can get a better offer from Red Bull, it's up to Kimi to choose out of those two.
There is rumours that Renault is interested in strengthening their association with Lotus, because they are not getting good publicly from Red Bull. That might interest Kimi, he is already the Renault representative this year.

I think Kimi is looking for at least the Renault deal PLUS infinity. " title="holy" />
ZitatKimi Raikkonen's priority is to stay at Lotus for F1 2014 By Jonathan Noble Wednesday, August 21st 2013, 13:36 GMT
Kimi Raikkonen will commit to a fresh deal at Lotus if the team provides him with the assurances he is seeking about its future, AUTOSPORT has learned.
After a wave of speculation this week linking the Finn with Ferrari in the wake of talks with Red Bull coming to an end, it is understood that Raikkonen's priority is actually to stay put for 2014.
The former world champion is relishing his place at the team and the way it is working for him, but wants to know it can keep its current status as one of the top teams.
Rather than be actively chasing a move to Ferrari as some have suggested, Raikkonen is in fact waiting on Lotus to deliver him the guarantees he wants about its future financial and technical platforms.
If the team can do that then Raikkonen will agree to a fresh deal.
Raikkonen's manager Steve Robertson said Lotus was well aware of the situation, and knows what it needs to do in order to retain the Finn.
"Lotus holds the key to Raikkonen's future," Robertson told AUTOSPORT.
"If the team can provide him with the answers he is seeking, which will ensure he has a car that can fight for race wins and the championship, then he will stay."
Lotus is equally eager to keep Raikkonen, but team boss Eric Boullier has made it clear that it is important any deal works for both the Enstone-based outfit and its star driver.
Although Ferrari is Raikkonen's best alternative if Lotus cannot provide him with what he wants, the Maranello-based team has not yet put serious thought to its 2014 line-up.
There is also the chance that there will be no vacancy there anyway if Felipe Massa can deliver strong results after the summer break.
Raikkonen is prepared to give Lotus more time to shore up its future plans anyway, meaning that it is too premature for him to seriously consider a fallback option.
I have to give Pekka Frank a lot of credit for his confidence. He seems 100% sure Kimi has signed for Ferrari. He's even called Robertson's and Noble's new announcement (posted by boudica) a smokescreen.
Time will tell..
Zitat Pekka Frank (SuomiF1):
"When you know, it´s easy to believe. Today's "surprising" speculations are a nice smokescreen. Really professional."
I think the Robertsons are on some kind of mission this week, they are certainly releasing a lot of statements to the press. Kimi has been hogging the headlines the whole week long. It seems like some strategical plan.
