I am starting to wonder if Kimi perhaps didn't take part in Mexico because of the Motocross team. He is literally what would call a hands on boss, in fact he is almost driving around more then the drivers in the team. ha" title="laughter" />
Wow, you are right LadyR, the cool smiley IS Kimi's team gum" title="cool" />
Joo, somehow this smiley looks like KR. He'd just need some longer hair on the sides and a New Era cap, then it would be the perfect smiley- Kimi! gum" title="cool" />
ZitatICE1 Racing's youngsters had a mudddy training race
Turun Sanomat 13.3 2011 17:43:32
ICE1 Racing -motocross team's drivers Toni Eriksson and Ludde Söderberg participated this weekend in Spain's race in Osuna. Eriksson came in 5th and Söderberg 18th due to a stop.
The rains from last week molded the race's results but the muddy race didn't yet surprise the best ones.
ICE1 Racing moves on to Belgium and starts the WC-serie on April 10th in Bulgaria's Sevlievo.
Osuna offered an exciting race. The rain had softened the track and the muddy race was full of events. Both Eriksson and Söderberg participated in the MXElite–serie with 45 drivers.
– The tracks were leading the men, Ludde lost his battle but I got my own drive to continue after I fell, Eriksson commented his 5th position after the first round.
– The track was challenging and had very few places where you could overtake. Result-wise we are going forward although we still have to catch up, Eriksson said. He was 8th in the second round and 5th in the whole race.
Söderberg got an even ride in the second round ending up 12th. He came in 18th in the final results.
The top names in MX1-serie Jonathan Barragán and MX3-serie's reigning world champion Carlos Campano also participated in the race. The winner was Barragán, Campano came in second and Adrian Garrido third.
After a week the team will take their training camp to Belgium near Lommel's tracks.
– Practically every team lives in Belgium during the summer. The country's central location and strong culture in the genre along with brilliant training possibilities guarantee that there will be a tough speed on the training tracks - which is exactly what our drivers need, Kari Tiainen sums up.
ICE1 Racing participates in a spring camp in Belgium arranged by Finland's MotorUnion where champion Jussi-Pekka Vehviläinen also will be before the official racing season begins .
Before moving on to Belgium the drivers get to enjoy Finland's winter for one week and also get into the best racing-mode at home.
Bulgaria or Bust!!! Are you ready?? In reality, I have followed a German rider, Kenny Roczen since he was a mini mite - and last year he came second in this championship - but is expected to win this year - so I'll be rooting for him of course. But how absolutely wicked cool is it that IceOne will be riding?? That just adds another layer of excitement to the party. I already have my ticket for the Glen Helen Round in California. So I'll provide a live report for that one - but till then, let us get ready for some real dirty stuff coming up real quick now! " title="bliss" />
By the way, you can watch all the FIM MX1/2 races live - and cheap - online. Last year we paid through Youthstream.org, and I imagine it will be the same this year.
