Räikkönen prepares himself for another hassle-opening

Based upon the results the track in Albert Park suits Räikkönen.

– Go and tell. There has been quite special races during many years and the weather has changed a lot. A lot seems to happen in that race and I don’t think it will be any regular race this time either, Räikkönen told Turun Sanomat.

– In winter tests we drove on such cold tracks that we still don’t have any idea of how our car will work with these tires in warmer temperatures and nobody can know how fast we are compared to other teams.

– We will see it all on Saturday in qualification and on Sunday in the race. It’s useless to think about it beforehand, Räikkönen said.

The next race is in Malaysia where Räikkönen has won twice.

– That’s also never any normal race. It’s either really hot or then the rain is extremely heavy.
What is crucial in the first races?

– The crucial factor in the first races is who knows best how to get the tires to work. My guess is that the outcome is based upon the tires in both Australia and Malaysia, Räikkönen ponders.
