For those who think Vettel is going to Ferrari in 2013.. this is a clip from an article Kurski posted yesterday in the 'Scuderia Ferrari 2012 thread'
Luca di Montezemolo: . and he (Alonso) defends Massa: are you surprised?
ZitatLCdM: it shows that there’s harmony in the team. And he is right on the fact that there are not many phenomenal drivers around. But first Fernando should win the Championship and then we will not partner him with anyone who annoys him. Obviously, the decision on drivers is ours, but we will share this with him. Massa has been very strong in the last two races and I have given myself another few days to reflect on what to do.
This is straight from the Lion's mouth. I can't imagine anyone who believes Vettel will go to Ferrari in 2014 and partners Alonso could possibly think that Vettel would NOT annoy Alonso..
ZitatMaranello, 30 September 2012 - Ferrari is struggling with the choice to define the name of the second pilot. Essential for the Constructors' title.
The second pilot must be pleasing to the team and Fernando Alonso: "Among the names I've heard, there is not one that is worth the weight" declared a few days ago by the Spaniard in Ferrari.
It seems that at this time Ferrari is considering the possibility of a dramatic return and attention the most noble team in the world would be focusing on the driver who was replaced in the relay just with Fernando Alonso: Kimi Raikkonen, who is appreciated for his skills and speed and not surprisingly is in third place [for the WDC] with his Lotus. The name of Raikkonen has never been said as a possbile replacement for Alonso. Felipe Massa, whose contract has expired and could possibly be renewed, Montezemolo had declared the need to take a few more days to think about it ... At this time the thoughts of Maranello would have turned right toward the Finn.
Article #2: F1 | Ferrari, possible returns: Raikkonen with the speed in the blood
ZitatSeptember 30, 2012 - This Sunday there is the Grand Prix of Japan. Felipe Massa next Sunday to play a portion of his future to the Prancing Horse.
The voices from Maranello revolve around the possible return of Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrari are intensified by the hour. Scenery. Probably the announcement on the future position of Felipe Massa in the team will be delayed even longer and delay means that a greater possibility of renewal is not granted to the pilot (Felipe), guilty of poor performances to the point of relegating Ferrari to chase the Lotus manufacturer.
Maranello does not collect the iris reserved for the team in 2008, played just the couple Raikkonen - Massa. The following year, 2009, was the season of the dismissal of Raikkonen, world champion with Ferrari in 2007, sacrificed in place of Massa to make way for the arrival of Alonso. It is said that ending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2009, the Finn takes off his suit and take a taxi. He did not greet anyone and returned home. This was the end of the experience with the [prancing] horse and with Felipe Massa, without recrimination, without controversy, he [Raikkonen] silently agreed to act as a "shoulder" to Felipe in the unfortunate 2008 season.
After two years in rallying and after having received the salary from Ferrari for a year, 2010, Raikkonen returned to Formula 1 and now is fighting for the World Championship. Next Sunday Raikkonen - Massa will be the pair of riders who will surely be under a magnifying glass ...
Edit: I just read through a translate of the third article. It doesn't seem to add much to what is all ready translated above. It talks about Raikkonen's incident after Abu Dhabi in 2009. It continues to state that Ferrari haven't won a WCC since 2008 and some of the blame has to be on Massa. A Better driver is needed to help win this.. It also states even though Kimi acted the way he did in 2009 (after Abu Dhabi): there are no bad feelings between Raikkonen and Ferrari apparent in the media/paddock.
Zitat von SonnyI personally hope they up the ante!
???
Yeah Anith but look what happend to Schmu! He waited for too long
He is talking poker i think
Schumi just couldnt decide on his future, if he is gonna stay or not. .. Thats the way i understand it. Kimi is definitely staying, anyways who else could lotus get, they are waiting for Kimi, so nothing to worry about
Yes, it's poker talk. When you throw more chips, we call this in English "upping the ante" or "up the ante." An ante is another term for a bet. I was just giving you a hard time, Claudie! h" title="hih" />
Personally, I hope we don't have to look into a " title="see" /> anymore with Kimi. If he can't go to McLaren or Mercedes: I wish he would just confirm he will drive for Lotus in 2013.
Lets not get to that. Dont think they are looking for a second driver( they could have hired heidfeld if that was the case ). They are just looking for a good solid driver
