OK, a quick translation
quoteStill on Arrivabene and Kimi
Just to clarify my banal way of thinking.
1) In England, from Friday until the rain arrival, Raikkonen has always been ahead of Vettel.
2) When the first drops of water came, I said aloud to the friends in my company "if I were in the Ferrari pit wall, I would try to gamble. I would risk with the intermediate with one of the two drivers. If it works, we won. If wrong, a fifth/sixth place will becomes eighth. It will make no difference, with the Championship ranking we all know.
3) Raikkonen chose to do exactly that. No matter that I love him and that you consider revolting lynching to which a month and a half he will be subject, same old stories, they were wrong in 2009 and in 2015 they are wrong and they know it, but will not admit it, you become charlatans and It remains. It matters that it was an understandable attempt, in the logic of the reality that we are living. And I would say the same thing if Vettel had taken the chance.
4) At this point, the water does not come and Kimi remains screwed. There is when you bet. My friend Luca Colajanni, called Cola, perhaps there was the box of Malaysia in 2009 or Silverstone in 2008. They were brilliant moves? No. They had a sense, in the presence of a certain defeat in any case? Yup.
5) By the way, I was there in Hungary in 2006 when Schumi (Schumacher!) Decided to stay out on intermediates despite the track had dried out. It was fucked up? Yes. He had a sense? Yes, always calculating that on the scales there was still a certain defeat.
6) Then, we summarize. Raikkonen before the rain was ahead of Vettel. One fifth and the other sixth. Kimi did a wrong move and Seb instead guesses as Hamilton. Their good, for goodness sake. Ferrari ended with third and eighth place, with an embarrassing car. The difference is tragic? Five plus six is eleven, three plus eight equals eleven, something will change for the arithmetic of the championship, very little, almost nothing. It this the real problem? Or is it not? Rather the problem is that the Red Army was slower not only to Mercedes, but also to Williams?
7) And so we come to Iron Mauri, alias Arrivabene. It seems to me that after the race Iron has said, very frankly, that the real trouble on Sunday was the performance, so deficit against Massa and Bottas, net of rain. That is, he did not hide, did not seek an alibi, not leaped to a 'fake' podium. Where it would be his fault? Telling the truth is a crime?
8) Ah, yes: Iron Mauri would be guilty of pointing the finger at Raikkonen. But here we are sympathetic to the cheating, the shell game. I listened and listened to the words of Arrivabene. The summary: in those situations it limits the pilot to 'call' the pit. Kimi has bet on the early pit, the move turned out to be wrong, fine. Be careful, because here comes the fun part: the individual concerned, Kimi said that it was a HiS mistake on the move to intermediate with four laps ahead. It was a mistake because the rain was soon. Amen.
9) And then, like in a TV series of the Octopus, we are getting to the heart of the problem. The heart of the problem is that Arrivabene, exalted for months until the Ferrari was not very far from the Mercedes, it becomes a giant idiot when developments do not work on the Reds. So the style you liked so much (transparency! Directness! Refusal of hypocrisy!) Turns into a boomerang. What is the brilliant Marchionne waiting to remove the unworthy? And who is this simpleton who speaks bread for bread and wine for wine? How dare you say that it is disappointing to be slower than Williams and who dares to proclaim the obvious, namely that the 'call' of my friend Kimi proved wrong? And who cares if Raikkonen also said it! Here we have to tear apart the character, describe it as a wanker in transit, shit down through fan and who squirts it squirts. And remember: if you win in Malaysia was the merit of my friends who were there before, if you lose today's is Arrivabene's fault and only his. These are tricks and I wrote it and I said so in April to the widower Montezemolo. But excuse me: you want me to bite? I wrote in very difficult times that I share the approach of Arrivabene and his ideas on the future of F1 are, ninety percent, those fans of Grand Prix claiming unnecessarily. Becomes suddenly an idiot? Seven podium finishes in nine races are crap? Better a tenth place in everything? And anyone here seriously believes that Kimi (not at Silverstone, where before tha hazard he had with the car, was doing better than Vettel) is conditioned, at his age, to be a non-renewal of the contract?!?
10) But, as I say and write for months and Silverstone has nothing to do with it, Arrivabene is certainly wrong not to understand it, that after Bahrain, he had to close Raikkonen's file, confirm the team as a block and only look into the car. I'm with him, for the reasons mentioned above, but on this point does not change my mind: will not be Bottas and Hulkenberg to reverse the trend. And the ball is in on Marchionne hands, certain maneuvers someone like me smells them from kilometers away. Nothing happens by chance, when the cunning farmyard prevails over intelligence.
In 2028 I hope to be still alive.
If something is not completely accurate, please anyone feel free to correct it. (specially #9 and #10, didn't quite get it all).
Sometimes it sucks that Kimi doesen't have social media, specially when you really, really have the need to tell him something very important... anyone has his mobile?
I totally get it though, can you imagine the insane amount of cr*# people would write to him?
Just ignore me, I'm just despetare about his situation and thinking aloud
Thank you so much W!!!! I do think ( knowing the shallow type of Ferrari thinking ) that Kimi is most probably out... Of course I still hope. I always do....
And since Kimi himself has said his first choice is still F1, I think it wouldn't hurt if the Italian media hear the people. Go ahead and vote too, a few international votes wouldn't hurt.
