Does smileman has clothes who fit him? What happened with his race suit? I hear that clothes shrink when you wash them. But is it possible they become large?
How can Ferrari dare! They send the world famous driver, driving god himself, the guy who is able to fart rainbows and let the sun shine out of his ass to the same time to drive with a "very old engine" http://www.speedweek.com/formel1/news/66...-unterwegs.html
Kimi Raikkonen: “Not ideal positions” “The behaviour of my car was better today than yesterday and I was reasonably happy with the balance, even if I still didn’t manage to put together a good enough lap to be higher up the grid. For some reason, we haven’t managed to fix a problem with the front end. In all sectors of the track the car tends to slide causing a lot of understeer. Unfortunately, this is a very limiting factor and not ideal. But as usual, tomorrow in the race, we will try our best to get the most out of what we have to work with. I am sure that by continuing to work, improving day by day, we will soon find a solution.” http://formula1.ferrari.com/news/united-...ideal-positions
Kimi Raikkonen says he is still unable to drive the Ferrari as he would want but is hoping a breakthrough will eventually unlock his true speed.
Raikkonen has struggled with a lack of confidence in the Ferrari's front end all year and has posted a series of disappointing results compared to team-mate Fernando Alonso. At this weekend's US Grand Prix he qualified ninth, which will become eighth on the grid once Jenson Button's penalty is applied, and is still suffering the same issue.
"The car doesn't feel too bad actually, but it's just pushing on a fast lap when the front starts sliding," he said. "It's a big problem for me at least and you cannot drive as you want and it's just pushing and sliding, you are fighting with it every corner. But I don't know how to fix it."
Raikkonen is sure he would be much higher up the grid if the car behaved the way he wanted it to.
"In the end we have to fix the issue and I can drive as I want and we can go much faster. Until we get the car like this you have to compromise certain things. You would like to drive differently but you cannot because of certain issues. It's a normal thing and you have to drive the best out of what you have. It's a compromise and hopefully one day we will get it right and it will all get much easier."
quoteKimi, throughout the year you have you complained that you simply don’t feel the front of the Ferrari enough. Here in America you have new parts. Does this improve something?
No, not really. Regarding this aspect, we have nothing new since Russia. There are new parts here, but they are affecting other areas of the car. Here it is the same story as always - the car feels not so bad. But the car slides too much on the front and with it I don’t get along. Like this I can’t drive as I want, I can’t attack. Thus I fight in every corner. I don’t know anymore what to do. We change all the time the setup but the basic problem remains the same. Is it the tires? Is it the suspension? Is it a combination of both? Probably different factors are coming together.
What feedback do you get from Maranello that this will be better in the 2015 car?
We just know that we have to solve this in 2015. But if we manage that, I can only say when I sit in next year's car. In some races, the problem is not as bad, unfortunately at most it is. This is frustrating, but I can’t change it.
What positives do you see?
It is positive that compared to the beginning of the year we have become more competitive. But Ferrari should fight for top ranks, not places 5 to 10. We are learning all the time, but we don’t really make progress. This is not my first year in which there were problems. But I hope it is my last! You have to make compromises with the setup and this is not an ideal starting position in a race car.
In terms of engine will there be a penalty? You have use the 5th of all engine components so the last part allowed, if we look in the appropriate table of the FIA.
No, we are in the plan. Sure it can’t go anything wrong but we should be able to go to the end.
What is possible in the race?
In the race it should go better. In race trim the car felt better. But I don’t feel well in the first sector generally. With a light car and on a fast lap it is particularly bad. The car is not catastrophic but we are far from getting a setup that I like 100%.
I remember that Kimi said before the Japanese GP that they found something and he really seemed to be happy ... Well guess he was wrong ((
"Walk on, through the wind, Walk on, through the rain, Though your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone, YOU`LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!!"
I can´t remember he ever use the word "hate" before. I hope someone gave him some hugs yesterday.
quoteUS GP: Kimi Raikkonen says he hates current Ferrari situation 2 Nov 2014
Kimi Raikkonen says he hates the situation he finds himself in with the handling of his Ferrari Formula 1 car at the moment, following a disappointing US Grand Prix.
The 2007 world champion came home 13th and one lap down on race winner Lewis Hamilton at Austin on Sunday, as his race was marred by front-end problems that plagued him all weekend.
"Here was again one of the most difficult weekends," Raikkonen told reporters after the race.
"Japan was similar - we fight with understeer the whole weekend and whatever we do we can't seem to get rid of it.
"Then you can expect in the race to destroy the front tyres.
"Obviously I hate the situation the way it is and the way things are going, and I cannot solve it by myself."
Raikkonen added that the main frustration with his problems was that he and Ferrari have been unable to pinpoint what is causing them.
"To try to drive slowly in certain places didn't make any difference [to the life of the front tyres] so I don't understand it really," he said.
"Wherever we finished it's pretty disappointing. Not being able to solve certain issues is frustrating.
"Hopefully something comes up and we find what the issues are.
"I appreciate some help and obviously we try to help each other to fix these issues, but if we knew the issue it would be easier to solve."
The Finn said that team-mate Fernando Alonso - who finished sixth - is not as sensitive to the front-end difficulties with the 2014 Ferrari.
"In certain places, yes, it's the same issue, but I think he doesn't mind too much when the front is sliding," he said.
"So the effect is not so big then. It's a bit of a different story." ALONSO BATTLES VIBRATIONS
Alonso only just held onto sixth at the end of the race, beating Sebastian Vettel to the line by half a second after his car developed a serious vibration in the closing stages.
"I had huge vibrations on the tyres for the last two laps," said Alonso. "I could not even see the track, basically.
"I tried to control the pace. I was asking for the gap from behind to cross the line just in front of them.
"But then Vettel overtook [Kevin] Magnussen and there was no time to save any more so on the last lap I was flat out with huge vibrations."
