sorry W, twitter is really great to follow F1 news, it's so easy and can do it everywhere. But yes, we won't forget this forum and also after Kimi retires, which hopefully will not happen soon he will probably do some other things we can follow and talk about here. I don't want to think of the time where we won't hear anything from him anymore..
with a better car next year there will hopefully also be more people here again
About Twitter... I guess I'll end up giving up someday
I like the advantages the Internet gives you but I just don't like the idea of my every move being tracked by it and that every post it's like written in stone, because it can never be erased and can be used against yourself in the future. I like the idea of being untraceable but I guess it's almost impossible now.
How can Kimi and Vettel live without social media?
About the Kimi Karting video, Soren had a brief description on FB:
quoteHere is the video that a norwegian TV channel put together when Kimi was at Rudskogen earlier this year. Its a comedy sports show and the idea is that the skinny guy always beats the heavier guy (Johan Golden) in challenges. So he has brought some help this time: Kimi Raikkonen. The skinny guy (Henrik Elvestad) gets incredibly starstruck when he sees Kimi and has trouble speaking. So they agree that they do one round like a relay with Kimi on Goldens team. Kimi takes over for Golden when he passes the pits after one lap. It was a bit staged of course but good fun
quoteSoren Bourgeois Thygesen Henrik Elvestad says in the beginning: "Who have you brought? Tommy Rustad? (Norwegian racing driver) Bring anyone! Golden: Oh really? Henrik: Umm.. who is that? Is that Kimi Raikkonen?? Golden: Of course it is Kimi Raikkonen. Best man in the world at driving a car. Henrik: Wow. Now I'm starstruck."

I think they're faking it and using an alias.
W.
You could make a twitter account and merely Follow others and never write a message. And as others have mentioned before, you can pick and choose exactly who you follow.
I don't think you should feel scared. The people who usually get in trouble are the ones who press "post" without thinking about what they wrote. If you're thinking this much about joining, I'm sure you will think long and hard before posting!
Plus.. You'll get an amazing update from Austin!
for the video of Kimi. He only needed one more lap and that guy was going to get passed
I've only ridden on karts a few times.. But I could see some bad mistakes that lead driver was making. He was looking behind in areas where Kimi was not going to pass. It's better to focus on your lines and braking points and worry about your competitor on full throttle sections (I.e. Straights). But fun to watch!! I'm sure there was more Laps run.. I doubt Kimi would fly to Norway just to run one lap
Sometimes you think this is so vain..but once in a while we need "vain" things in our life...W I dont use twitter either, altho I have registered..dont remember the pass word. Olga we could play the game ; everyone pick the driver they hate the mostor dont care much and then start being his "fan" and fight with each others like in certain forums....on the other hand...we might all choose Aloneso.

The chance is high
Is this intention you write Alone-so? The daughter from friends (I infected the poor girl with my Kimi- virus ) say all the time "MOF" to Nano. "Mensch ohne Freunde", means "human without friends".
Yes, in fact there is a story behind that name. Oskari Saari told at the other day Alonso did get the nickname from Renault teams personnel when he isolated himself from people as things didnt go well. They started to call him Aloneso. Saari speculated this could have happened with Ferrari too.
Quote: Olga wrote in post #612do you guys think that if Kimi is given the chance he will stay in f1 beyond 2015????
Maybe I´m sure Ferrari planned with Jules for the time after Kimi. And I don´t think the chance is high we will see Jules again in a racing car This poor boy is still fighting for his life So if 2015 is better than this year and Kimi is enjoying Sebs accompany....
