Very interesting news that Red Bull is willing to extent their announcement deadline until as late as Monza. According to some people like Vergne for example they are eager to get the deal done. Sot it is interesting that they are willing to wait even longer.
They can sign Ricciardo at any time, they have been praising him a lot these past 3 weeks, so why dont they just sign and announce him? The fact that they are willing to extent their deadline shows that Ricciardo is not their first choice, because they can get him at any time, they dont need extensions to sign him.

sounds logical maybe they are waiting for Kimi and Kimi is waiting for the new sponsor " title="hmm" />
ZitatThe best chance to succeed Mark Webber, who retires at the end of season, has his Australian countryman Daniel Ricciardo from Toro Rosso.
The decision for the 24-year-olds from their own junior program even might have already been made according to informed sources. Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz set off on Friday for a five-week vacation on his island in the South Pacific. At Red Bull decisions of this range usually are not made without the "Big Boss".
I honestly don't think Ricciardo is their first choice. I think he has been over praised and Red Bull know he is not the equal of raikkonen. Horner has flat out said that hiring Raikkonen would be comparable to gaining more prize money.. And that his salary would essentially be covered in prize Money from WCC standings.
The decision is in Kimi's hands. It's just a matter of what Kimi wants..
agree....i think they are on the peak of these negotiations...lets see what Kimi decided....
and adding this:
Zitat It was worth noting that Eric Boullier and Kimi Raikkonen’s negotiator Steve Robertson were locked in long discussions on Thursday, which would seem to suggest that everyone who thinks Raikkonen is already signed at Red Bull are probably jumping the gun. http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2013/07/ ... n-hungary/
Steve Robertson said yesterday at MTV3 news (he was really round in his words) are still negotiating, at the moment nothing is agreed, I cant go to the details because it would be wrong. But we are still talking. ..and then MTV3 reporter asks if they are still negotiating with rbr and Steve says "like I said, I cant say anything, but we are talking." Reporter asks again"with Red Bull?" Steve laughs and says:"still talking". He was kind of difficult with himself. If I had to make assumption only according to this, I would say RBR has made a desicion and its Ricciardo.

i'll be honest: i dont like this humor at all....even if it is a quote, i totally dislike the use of the "fool" word...it gives me the feeling lotus think they are really losing Kimi. i like the team very much but i hope they sort out their issues and help Kimi as much as possible during this race " title="annoyed" />
ZitatHorner didn't deny the Fernando-RBR rumour just a moment ago on mtv3 interview.... and he also said he doesn't tell who they are talking to but admitted everyone is interested. about Kimi. no decisions made about the driver yet.

I agree - calling someone fool in case they do differently? It's not even funny.
