quoteFormula 1 team bosses vote Sebastian Vettel as best driver for 2013
Sebastian Vettel has been voted the clear winner in AUTOSPORT's annual Team Principals' Top 10 Drivers poll. In what has become an end-of-season tradition, AUTOSPORT once again enlisted the help of Formula 1's 11 team principals to get their views on which drivers they thought had done the best job in 2013.
Each team principal provided a secret top 10 list of drivers, with points being awarded using the current F1 scoring system (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1) to come up with an overall winner.
..........
AUTOSPORT'S TEAM PRINCIPALS' TOP 10 DRIVERS 2013
1 Sebastian Vettel 248 2 Fernando Alonso 213 3 Kimi Raikkonen 158 4 Lewis Hamilton 117 5 Nico Rosberg 95 6 Romain Grosjean 76 7 Nico Hulkenberg 68 8 Mark Webber 66 9 Jenson Button 24 10 Felipe Massa 14
ISn't it amazing how times and drivers can change?
Lewis beat Fernando head-to-head in a McLaren.. And now look at the "ratings." I know it's not the most objective measure. But a significant gap like that shows you how much higher they rate Fernando than Hamilton.
I mostly agree with the list. I think Hulkenburg is a better driver than Grosjean. Grosjean just benefitted from having the 2nd best car toward the end of the year and finally some consistent results. I might even put Hulk in front of Rosberg. I think he's that good!
I know, actually I think the same. But I thought he would be rated higher by the team principals. But you're right, they were only judging this season and with that car, he should have had more "multi-21" moments.
PitLaneTalk @KomivesP 1h We hear that Eric Boullier will leave Lotus. Still no engine deal, plenty of debt, unpaid employees and no team principal. .#F1 #Formula1
Paper is dead without words Ink idle without a poem All the world dead without stories Without love and disarming beauty

Couldn't agree more.
Webber was just unable to adapt to the Pirelli tyres. Especially in slower corners. If you look at tracks with high speed stuff (Austin, Silverstone), he was very competitive over a lap. But Vettel was far superior on Sundays when it came to 'managing' the tyres

Webber looked like a driver on his way to retirement the whole year long, he drove like a pensioner. He had a lot of retirements to be fair, but he was never exactly close to Vettel when he did retire.
Quote: Sonny wrote in post #597Autosport.com (Mark Hughes) rated Kimi the 7th best driver of 2013. And Romain was 6th!
I can't believe that bullshit was even published
Lol
Last year he ranked Button above Kimi, he's got some serious issues.
i just copy paste thisfrom fb as i did not have time to check sourses
quoteF1 | Sport Bild: " Boullier to resign from the Lotus"
December 14, 2013 - There comes the unexpected news that Eric Boullier, Team Principal of the Lotus , apparently about to step down from his leadership role. A write is Garloff White, a reporter for German magazine Sport Bild.
The news, it is worth emphasizing , is currently unconfirmed and therefore to be taken with the benefit of the doubt , although the source is much more than authoritative . The journalist Bianca Galrloff Sports Blid, writes (keeping the conditionally ) to have collected information that leave thinking about the fact that Boullier has decided to resign his resignation.
" Eric Boullier will not want to be held responsible for the chaos that reigns within the team ." These are the exact words of the journalist who reports the frustration of Boullier in having had to deal with issues such as the financial crisis, the departure of Raikkonen , the failure to invest in Quantum and the non-arrival of Hulkenberg.
The arrival of Maldonado in place of the talented German would have been the straw that broke the camel Boullier is convinced to resign. That is, if the news is confirmed.
