A long-term contract with Grosjean? " title="hmm" /> Do you mind posting your source please, SuomiLeijona?
If Lotus would agree to a long-term deal, there would surely be performance clauses in the contract and early termination. I'm surprised Grosjean is getting another contract. Especially a "long-term" contract. Very few multi-year contracts in F1 do not contain "get out of contract" clauses. Just look at Kimi this year..

I will try to find an article, but it was maybe in Austin that Boullier said to Oskari Saari that, if they decide to keep GroGro they want to make a long-term contract with him. " title="roll" />
ZitatBianchi set to secure Force India seat - report
Dec.13 (GMM) Jules Bianchi has leapt into pole position to join Paul di Resta at Force India next year.
Earlier, it was expected the Silverstone based team's former race driver Adrian Sutil was the favourite to replace the Sauber-bound Nico Hulkenberg in 2013.
But Finland's Turun Sanomat newspaper said the new favourite is 2012 Force India reserve Bianchi, a 23-year-old rookie who is backed by Ferrari and managed by Felipe Massa's manager, Nicolas Todt, the son of FIA president Jean.
"The announcement is expected before Christmas," said correspondent Heikki Kulta.
Kulta added that Force India's reportedly likely switch from Mercedes to Ferrari engine power for the 2014 V6 regulations was "a decisive factor" in Bianchi's favour.
ZitatOskari Saari â€@OskariSaari A source tells me Lotus about to make an announcement soon. So looks like they've finally made up their minds. I still think it's GRO. #f1

It's a interesting bit of news.
I've held the belief for some time that Christian Horner is arguably the best team principle in F1. The only time that thought wavered was when Webber squeezed Vettel on the inside of T1 at Brazil and allowed both Ferraris to surge by on the outside. That should have been handled better. Regardless, it is hard to argue with success. And no one has been better in recent history.
Red bulls success is not down to one man. And that would be the problem signing only Christian Horner. Ross brawn has won titles in the past. Do you think he forgot how? No. It takes a total team effort for this to work. Luckily for Horner: he has arguably the best car designer ever in formula 1. But credit must be given to Horner for putting the pieces of the puzzle together and keeping a strong focus on team unity. Red Bull are the current model of success!
Zitat Kamui Kobayashi gives up on F1 drive for 2013 season By Jonathan Noble Monday, December 17th 2012, 20:46 GMT
Kamui KobayashiKamui Kobayashi has conceded his chances of landing a seat in Formula 1 for next season are over.
The Japanese driver had been pushing hard to secure the funding that would have landed him a drive at one of the teams that still has vacancies.
He had set up a website to help raise funding from fans, as well as making progress with more traditional sponsorship avenues.
But despite raising almost 8 million Euro, Kobayashi wrote on his website on Monday night that it was not enough to earn him a drive for 2013, and his focus was now on making a return in 2014.
"I was in the position to bring a budget of 8 million Euro at least," wrote Kobayashi about the big support he had received from fans.
"If you could imagine the time I had, it was [an] overwhelming reaction and it shows there still is a great potential from Japanese companies.
"Unfortunately, the time was still short and I am not able to secure the seat with [a] competitive F1 team for 2013.
"I have to admit that it is very sad and [I] feel sorry for fans and Japanese companies who supported me. But I am still confident to make it happen in 2014."
Kobayashi said the money that had been raised would be saved for his 2014 efforts, and made it clear that he was not interested in racing in any category other than F1.
"I start to look [at] what is the best option for 2013 and also 2014," he said. "My main priority is to secure the competitive F1 seat in 2014. I have no interests to race any other categories.
"I will make an announcement as soon as I make a decision for 2013.
