yeah, that the team never supports Kimi after things like that worries me. I mean it wasn't such a clear mistake, it could have gone well too. Alonso also stopped at same time so Kimi wasn't alone in thinking it's time to pit. and same as it went wrong for Kimi it could also have gone wrong for Lewis and Seb who pitted earlier than others. but they were lucky and are now the heroes..
Since I'm sick, in bed and have nothing else to do but to watch the race again, I was specially interested to watch the moment when Kimi pitted.
When the teams started to allert their drivers of the rain coming, the first thing they said was: "Let's see who guesses the exact moment to change the tyres." Then a while after, they said "with this dark clouds it could mean lots of rain, whoever changes to wet tyres first could be benefitted by it". Then rain started, lots of cars were going off and sliding, Alonso and someone else pitted for intermediate and then Bottas said something like: "to much rain, we need to change tyres" and his team told him, there are dry parts in the track, we will burn the tyres if you pit now" and then Kimi pitted. After that, our commentators were saying how Williams were making a big mistake in making their drivers stay out for to long and that they should be changing the tyres, and wondering what was Vettel planning to do. Then the rain delayed and Kimi was losing 7 seconds a lap and then it finally came and the rest of the cars ended changing their tyres too.
My point is, the situation wasn't easy to read at all. Our commentators said Kimi was a bit unlucky. Hamilton said on podium: "I think for the first time in my life I guessed exactly when to do the pit stop". And look what happened to Bottas, he was third, wanted to go in when Kimi did, the team advised him not to, then they waited for to long for it and they ended P5.
quote#Kimi7 #BritishGP: “In the early part of the race we were stuck behind Hulkenberg’s Force India, they were too fast on the straight and in the places you could pass, while we lacked some speed. It’s a pity because the handling of the car was good through the whole race and the behavior was definitely better than yesterday. When it started raining heavily, the track became very slippery, especially in Turns 7 and 8; so I took the decision to come in the pits for Intermediate, but then the rain stopped. Probably I made the call three or four laps too early. But in general, this kind of track is not ideal for us, and this is something we have to work on.” [via ferrarif1.com]
The sad thing is that it doesn't matter who made the mistake, all is going against Kimi, he couldn't collect decent results in the last races, his gap in the championship from Vettel is growing and on tv here they spoke about him as if his career was already over. Just one month ago it seemed his renewel was done and now it's quite clear he will be fired by Ferrari again. I would have some videos to edit but I have no desire now.
But it's like you said, it doesen't matter if he had a sudden surge of power in Canada=Kimi spun; it doesen't matter if something was wrong with car or maybe Alonso did hit him in Austria=Kimi crashed and it doesen't matter if Kimi spun because there were some very slippery parts of the track because of the rain=Kimi made a strategy mistake.
Conclusion=Kimi maybe out of F1 forever
On the other hand, it would be really stupid to get rid of the fan favorite driver...
Read somewhere Bottas was not allowed by his team to overcome Massa even if Bottas was faster than Massa. Does this is a punishment because as many people say Bottas already signed wit Ferrari ??

Well, yes Bottas was faster than Massa and they told them not to race his teammate twice, then they said he could do it but only if it was a clean pass, wich he couldn't do because even if you have a bit more pace, it's the same car, so it's difficult to overtake.
The story I heard was that the team "owed" one to Massa for telling him last year "Bottas is faster than you", a phrase that is pretty hurtfull to say to any driver but specially to Felipe Massa. I understand Williams trying to maximise points with a 1-2, but in the end Mercedes got them during pit stops and it makes you wonder what could have been if Bottas would have pulled away in the start. But, personally, I prefer a driver that tries to overtake his teammate cleanly if they really are faster and a team that let's him do it if it's really necessary.
About the Ferrari rumor, I don't think so. But I'm sure we'll start hearing lots of things like this from now on.

My conclusion on this was they were racing for the lead. It would be a completely different story if Bottas was fighting for the championship and Massa was not. And as a result of letting Bottas through, Bottas could better his championship standings. But we all know this is far from the case. Thus, I think it was the right call to let them race for the race lead. Massa earned the track position and I don't think it would have been correct to steal it away from him, even if Bottas could go quicker.

And the summer break will be unbearable if Kimi doesen't get a good result.
Please Kimi, do whatever you need to do to we will be for you
and wishing you all the good luck
Yes.. It sure doesn't help that the German GP was cancelled. Now we have some very long between the race.
Kimi definitely needs a good result at the next race. I think the Hungaroring will suit Ferrari a little better than Williams, as the motor won't make such a huge difference.
