I had a nightmare two nights ago. I dreamt Kimi's race went bad. Then I woke up and I thought "no, they haven't done yet the qualifying". Well, now I can say that dream was a prediction.
just watched the race. Wow, that was a freak accident.
Agree about Vettel today and Kimi in Canada - this was probably the true pace for the car and for me looks like Williams has improved their race pace. 'Quiet killers' - they just got there while everyone was claiming that tomorrow Ferrari overtakes Mercs.

Fernando Alonso says Kimi Raikkonen was lucky to escape Austrian GP shunt uninjured Pair collided on opening lap after Finn lost control of his Ferrari

Fernando Alonso admitted that Kimi Raikkonen was lucky to escape uninjured after their crash on lap one of Sunday’s Austrian GP.
Alonso collided with Raikkonen just two corners into the race after the Ferrari driver lost control of his car on cold tyres.
Their cars then lurched left into the crash barriers, with the Spaniard’s McLaren-Honda ending up wedged against the armco and straddling the front of the Raikkonen’s car.
Alonso helped Raikkonen out of the cockpit ( he don´t. But he waited for him) and said afterwards that the Finn should consider himself fortunate that the outcome hadn’t been worse.
“I made a lot of places in turns one and two – I was 14th or something. Kimi was with the prime tyres and he exited turn two with a lot of wheelspin and so his car was moving,” Alonso told Sky Sports F1.
“We were all overtaking him, left and right, and at one point he lost the car to the left – and I was on the left.
“We both went in the wall and I was lucky not to hit him on the head because, looking at the replay, I was obviously braking, but my wheels were in the air.
“Luckily we’re both fine. It was a very strange incident – very low grip.”
Indeed, Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene initially thought the accident was worse than it actually was. “I thought, looking at the end of the images that Alonso was touching Kimi but apparently it was not true,” he said.
That was his reaction
Raikkonen himself said: “Racing is always dangerous and when things go wrong they usually go wrong in a bad possible way and that’s what happened today.
“I got some wheelspin and suddenly I went left. So it was surprising really, I don’t know why it turned so aggressively left.
“It was in a pretty odd place. Sometimes you get things like that out of the corner, but it was quite a way from the exit.”
The accident capped another difficult weekend for Raikkonen, who exited Saturday’s qualifying session early and started 14th on the grid.
“It has been a pretty s*** weekend overall,” he added. “Nothing else to say.”
But I guess I should feel grateful he came out of that freak accident unharmed
@Tania: does Maurizio Arrivabene says "va'fa un culo" in that second gif Jalumi posted?
quote about it really. The wheels spun really aggressively there and I don’t know what caused it, but the result is always the same. It’s not normal but it happened, that’s the way it is. The car didn’t have any grip. It’s dangerous, but racing is dangerous always. It must have been worse for the guy that was standing there and we must have come close to hit him.”
From espn.co.uk – Kimi: “It’s not ideal, but it happens. Obviously it’s not normal and I was surprised when it happened, but it is what is. We didn’t expect it to happen, we were expecting to race into the top ten, but something obviously happened.”
From @miezicat1 – Q: Can you remember a similar incident in your career? Kimi: “No, that was very strange. I was in the 3rd or 4th gear and never I would have expected such a reaction from the car. Something happened there. Now we have to find out what was there.”
Fernando Alonso on the incident From motorsport.com – Alonso: “He was sliding a lot out of Turn 2. I think there was a big difference between the soft and supersoft tyres. He started sliding, going left and right, left and right, and I was on the left and at one point he lost the car and I was there. It was a bit weird, because if someone hits you on a corner that can happen, but that the cars are sliding so much in fourth and fifth gear was a bit strange. This time it happened to him and I was in the wrong place. I saw I had a Ferrari below me in the mirrors, but I didn’t know where he was. I thought I was alone. I tried to get out as quickly as possible to see if he was okay. I saw him removing the steering wheel so I was relieved.
Let me explain, this is not a bad reaction from Ferrari to yesterday's race by Sebastian, as a matter of fact is a good one. What gets me mad is they have done the opposite when it happens to Kimi, all I want is equal treatment as they claim.
What about Kimi's "disaster-like" reaction for his 4th place finish in Canada, not only by the media but also by Ferrari. I didn't read anything like this to try to defend Kimi for a mistake caused by a failure. I didn't read something like this for Kimi when something worst than this happened to him in Australia either? And what about the other car in Austria, have Ferrari forgotten they have 2 cars? The episode's not worth the mention for them, it seems.
Yes, Kimi has had very bad outcomes lately, but not entirely his own fault, no "Team up" there? Only Kimi to blame? What about making him feel supported?
We have to avoid negativity. It's useless and doesn't help us. And the only thing Kimi can do is work hard and don't allow these ghosts fill is mind. Some years ago I felt bad to read all these stories, now I'm tired but stronger. Kimi is a Champion. Full stop. With or without wheelspin. There is a quote from a movie that I recently often repeat to me: "Past is past. You can't change it. You can poke at it and prod it, but you cannot change it. So you move on. And do your best."

True that! Only Kimi can help himself! If he cant then its better to leave anyway.
