We must not forget hé Is now a father and some one clever than me said it costs a second per lap vs a single driver without family responsibilities ! Or should I say the Kimi I used to follow from the Sauber years has vanished away together with his age ? Maybe it' about time to think it over !
Naa, it's not that. Vettel is a father too and Nico said his father Keke made his fastest lap ever one month after he was born.
I have been following Kimi since 2008 (more or less) and when I asked how could Kimi make all those pole positions before I started following him, the answer I got was: the tyres. It seems the tyres he had in his first half of his career were much, much easyer to get into the right window of performance. And today, when even everybody else had trouble with this, plus the temperature dropping, made that difference between Vettel and him.
Remember 2012? when Pirelli made those tyres that degreated pretty fast? They were really easy to warm up. And how was Kimi doing? Podium after podium until Red Bull and some others complained about the tyres blowing up, so they made them harder and so Kimi started to struggle again.
Maybe but tyres are the same for all the guys so why solely Kimi has problems with them. I doubt this is the answer. May I say I follow Kimi since as I mentioned earlier his Sauber years so.....
Everybody had problems with this today, but it shows more in specific teams (like Williams, for example) and yes in specific drivers too.
It may not be the whole reason, but it seems to have had a big impact on him in the second half of his career. Specially in Q3 were even hundreds of a second make a difference.
I understand, I'm very frustrated too and I didn't even saw Kimi's golden years. I really hope Kimi can find the exact reasons of why this is happening so frecuently so he can do something about it and fix it ASAP.
Me too I hope to see again Kimi on the 1st step of the podium and I too pray for this hoping to see him again World Champion but how long time will he stay in a top Team ? Just hope he gets another year contract with Ferrari but Arrivabene said it depends on his performances so..... I would not like seing Kimi ending his career in a second zone team. I have been happy to see Kimi during his Golden Years (Sauber, MacLaren Ferrari and lately Lotus) so keep finger crossed so that Q3 drastically improves in a very close future and Good Luck for todays race
Don't worry about Kimi ending his career in a second class team, I'm sure either Kimi stays one last year with Ferrari or he retires from F1.
Let's just pray for him to end his carrer with good enough performances to be remembered as the legend he is, otherwise he will be remembered as just a good driver and thats it. That's what really worries me, besides having F1 without Kimi of course.
Thanks Tania for the videos, I specially like the interview to Arrivabene. I wish I could have it with English captions, so everyone could understand it.

Sainz will start from the pit lane and Grosjean got a 5 grid penalty for a change of gearbox.
