Zitat von RagingjamaicanReliability concerns for Ferrari?
Why?
The only thing that's went wrong for them mechanically is the DRS not closing, that's all.
I wouldn't like a Red Bull win this season. They seem to be the new Ferrari, whinge and talk a load of bollocks.
Also, 4 in a row for Vettel? Rather that didn't happen.
A figh between Alonso, Raikkonen and Vettel with Raikkonen winning would be nice.
Red Bull have the luck at the moment, Alonso seem a bit behind, Lotus are inconsistent.
It's reliability/luck combined really. Fernando's reliability was perfect in 2012. I'm not sure if luck just isn't on his side right now or it's a sign of things to come. I think it would be hard to argue that reliability will be a concern. But it's a chunk in their armor we aren't accustomed to seeing. It may be a sign of things to come. Hard to tell this early in the season.
Is Lotus really inconsistent? Kimi has finished on the podium three times out of four races. And arguably could have been there a fourth time if it wasn't for a mysterious penalty in Malaysia. Their qualifying may be considered inconsistent: but I could argue that their one lap pace is sacrificed for tyre durability on Sunday.
Yeah I would say Lotus are inconsistent.
Being inconsistent in qualifying makes them inconsistent to me. Add to that, they were lucky to get both podium places as both Ferrari's suffered major problems, and Webber being Webber.
This is one of their strongest tracks, although they did well to recover, they were lucky to get what they did.
As I constantly state, they rarely hook up a good all round weekend in together, something always goes wrong.
Zitat von miezicat *Kimi suffered from an allergic reaction before he started the race.

ZitatKimi Raikkonen Space From Turun Sanomat, translated by Nicole -------- An allergy attack endangered Kimi's participance in Bahrain GP for a moment.
It was a torturing itch that made his skin go red, however the allergy attack went quickly over and Kimi could drive the race normally. Räikkönen didn't take part in the drivers parade, which started speculations about him not taking part in the GP.
–Everything is good, they assured to Turun Sanomat from Lotus
" title="ha" /> To be fair, I saw actually Kimi pulled her in between Seb and him and then put his arm around her (maybe to reach Seb...) h" title="hih" />
ZitatAllergy almost sidelined Raikkonen in Bahrain By Editor on Monday, April 22, 2013
He ultimately finished second, but Kimi Raikkonen was almost not well enough to contest Sunday’s Bahrain grand prix.
Finnish sources MTV3 and Turun Sanomat report that the Lotus driver was late for the pre-race driver parade because he was suffering from an allergic reaction.
“He gets it 3 or 4 times a year,†the 2007 world champion’s trainer Mark Arnall admitted.
“We have no idea where it came from just before the race, but it affects mainly his skin, and not so much his eyes.â€
Arnall said Raikkonen was treated with antihistamines.
Lotus engineer Alan Permane said: “Considering he (Raikkonen) was suffering before he started the race, it was a very impressive performance indeed.â€
On MTV3 they said Kimi gave Grosjean the opportunity to celebrate his 3rd place on the center of the team picture. Normally the driver that has better result sits there. On the other hand Webber didnt take part to Red Bulls team picture at all..I think his result in Bahrain also indicated he has sort of given up and could even cost Red Bulls the manufactures championship. But Red Bull has cooked the situation by themself. About Kimis starts...I wonder has this guy Ciaron Pilbeam anything to do with his start settings? Mark had awful starts last year and now suddenly Kimis starts seem to be a bit like starting from the mud pond.
If Webber's resigned and has lost it, might aswell replace him with their third driver.
Buemi or not, at least it's someone motivated and has a chance.
This guys had countless of chances and continues to falter, while my main man/moose is just on the sidelines getting used by Red Bull " title="angry" />
I agree with you on this one, Rage.. Webber seems to have lost the plot. But I think it's a bit too early to replace him. Timing is everything. Romain looks promising, yet webber looks set for retirement. Webber is trailing his teammate by 45, whereas romain trails his by 41. So the subjective ("only as good as your last race") vs the objective (points) data point to two conflicting scenarios.
I think webber needs more time. First: it's not confirmed that he is going to Porsche. If this were true, it may make " title="rb" /> 's threshold to replace him mid season much lower. Second: I think webber deserves a fair assessment up until the summer break. If vettel extends his lead in the WDC and Red Bull trail in the constructors battle, then the situation looks even worse for webber. I feel it's a bit early for Red Bull to replace him.
there are several reports that Webber's race was the same as it was last year in terms of gap at the finish. So it is possibly not the tragedy, but more like an expected performance (rather than 'better than expected'). Agree with Sonny - who replace a driver after one or two races? We, fans, do like make big statements, but teams play differently.
However, is it me or Sauber didn't really mention Gutierrez in post-race release?
I think a lot worse would have to happen that they would replace Webber during the season after so many years together and Mateschitz backing him. About next year who knows..
Mark was at ServusTV yesterday, he said he is still hungry, wants to show good results and could imagine to stay in F1 a few years. but not enough to beat Rubens y" title="wink" /> decision will be done in summer. a bit funny was that Vettel wasn't even mentioned once h" title="hih" />
