I'm not sure if I ever told this story.. But that picture reminds me. I was "in place" to photograph on Sunday in Austin. And there was an older gentleman with his son in law nearby. He had a nikon camera and we struck up a conversation. We ended up talking for at least an hour. About cameras, travel, life, etc..

He told me a story about one of his first photography experiences. He went to Germany in the early 1970's and visited An F1 race at the nurburgring. He said he literally stood a few feet from an apex and photographed!!! And here we were with a fence and dekameters between us and the circuit! He laughed about how dangerous it was. But that was the good old times..
